Presentation title:
Extra-Virgin Olive Oil and Heart Health: Evidence, Mechanisms, and Dietary Recommendations from the PREDIMED trial

Presentation abstract:
Olive oil, a key component of the Mediterranean diet, is linked to reduced cardiovascular risk, a lower incidence of some neurodegenerative diseases and cancers, and does not promote weight gain. Regular consumption, especially as part of meals, offers health benefits, though optimal intake, differences among olive oil types, and protective mechanisms—including the role of polyphenols—remain under investigation.
