
Dimitra Mathiopoulou was born and raised in Kalamata, Greece.
She holds an MBA from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a degree in Financial and Banking Management from the University of Piraeus. She has experience in marketing and sales through roles at Nestlé Hellas, Papadimitriou S.A., Citibank etc
From 2009 to 2025, she worked as an Economist in local government.
In 2017, inspired by her husband and the family’s olive oil mill, she founded “The Olive Routes,” an agrotourism business in a small village, focusing on creating and providing authentic olive experiences based on local life and oleotourism.
She is fluent in English, Spanish, and German and is the mother of two children, Antigoni (13) and Thodoris (10).
