Dimitris Sotiropoulos, Agricultural Engineer, is a Quality Manager at DIO Inspection and Certification Organization for Organic Products. With over 25 years of experience in the food sector, he specializes in certification, conformity assessments, and food safety systems (ISO 17065, FSSC 22000). He trains and assesses inspectors/auditors, develops private certification schemes, and collaborates with EU and international control authorities. Since 2016, he has coordinated over 60 EU BTSF training programs and, from 2018, serves on IFOAM’s Standard Requirements Committee, contributing to the development of organic production standards globally.

It is a standard that goes beyond organic certification and sustainability, focusing on improving ecosystems.
