Dr. Vasileios Gkisakis: agronomist and senior researcher at ELGO–DIMITRA, Institute of Olive, Subtropical Crops & Viticulture (Kalamata, Greece). His research focuses on agroecological approaches in pomology, particularly olive production, for developing sustainable & resilient production systems. He coordinates and contributes to several international research projects addressing agroecological transitions and climate adaptation in olive farming. He served on the Board of Agroecology Europe Association, promoting sustainable approaches to European policy and research agenda. Also, as a visiting professor at CIHEAM-MAICh he fosters integration between science & practical application.
