Born οn the island of Crete in Greece, he has studied and worked as an engineer initially and later in the field of international relations and communication. For more than 16 years he has been working in the olive oil sector as a professional in the olive oil production technology, exports, and sensory evaluation with long experience in the international olive oil market.

Currently he is working as exports area manager and sensory evaluation expert at MELISSA-KIKIZAS SA and Terra Creta olive oil brand.

In parallel, Emmanouil is the VP of Cretan Exporters Association, a certified taster and judge in international olive oil competitions.

He is a member of the Cretan AREPO and OO sector development. Being an expert in his field with recognized knowledge and experience, he has present topics related to olive oil in international fairs and events as invited speaker (IOC summit, FHC summit, HORECA forum, YALE symposium, SIMEI forum, etc) and he is publishing relevant articles.

Emmanouil speaks Greek, English and Italian.
