Owner, Tzortzis Olive Oil Company
Michael Tzortzis was born in Mytilini in 1970 and raised in a small village named Pigi until 1991. He is married to his wife, Nafsika Anagnostou, and they have two beautiful daughters, Amalia and Adamantia.
In 1994, he graduated the Technological Educational Institute of Chalkida, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1995, he did his military service in Greek Army and after completing it in 1996, he settled down to Athens. He worked there as a responsible for engineering researches for “Athens Air Conditioning E.C.” until the end of 1998. In 1999 early beginnings, he returned back to Lesvos island and worked for “Issantex S.A.”, having the responsibility of engineering researches and selling heating and air conditioning items, until 2001. He had the same engineering authorities while he used to work for a company named “Europolat I.C.” focusing on mechanical equipment installations of olive mills and olive oil refineries.
Ιn 2005, he founded a small olive press and a mold factory of olive oil, with my father, Efstratios Tzortzis. Their goal was to launch the family production of olive oil, as a labeled product, firstly, in the Greek market and later, in Europe.
Today, he continues his business activity with our family company, by exporting our awarded bio and non-bio product to 18 countries all over the world. Meanwhile, they are managing the olive fruit of 350 different producers from our island.
