Professor A’ Neurology, Aristotle University
Professor Magda Costa-Tsolaki has 43 years of clinical and hospital experience. She has been working at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 1982. From 2010 to the present, she serves as a professor, from 2017-2020 as the Δirector of the 1st Neurological Clinic of the ΑCHEPA University Hospital, and then as an emeritus.
She has presented many papers in Greek (614) and International (531) conferences, and has written many publications in Greek (200) and English-language reputable (119 outside Pubmed and 495 in PubMed) journals with 46054 Citations, h-index=101 and i10 Index=376.
She is a founding member of the Hellenic Alzheimer Society (1995) as well as the president and founder of the Panhellenic Alzheimer’s Disease Federation (2007), which in turn is a member of Alzheimer Europe and Alzheimer Disease International, while she also edits the publication of the Federation’s magazines (one scientific (PRIME) and one for the public (Alzheimer’s Disease Communication). Her social work includes many informative events for the general public (658).
She is scientifically responsible for the three Alzheimer’s Disease Treatment Units with more than 94 staff and over 8,000 members. To date, she has participated in a number of European Research programs (77) and clinical studies (47) in the field of Dementia. She has given many lectures at foreign Universities and Conferences (142) as well as at Greek conferences as an invited speaker (344). She has also organized many National and International Conferences (60) on Dementia. She was responsible for many undergraduate, postgraduate (61) and PhD theses (69).
She is a mother of 4 children and grandmother of 10 grandchildren.
